This is a very sweet story you must watch it I cry everytime I watch it its the
best thing that could ever happen to a wild animal/pet.this is proof that
animals never forget.and they love forever! we are embeded in there
soul & spirt...we need to stop the killing.

Now thats what we love to see the love between man and beast,
Why is it so hard for the United States to love animals, they are people who are down right hurting and abusing our pets but when the goverment does it through the kill shelters is not, what a crock! its all abuse no matter how you
look at it.and the phrase ''Humanly Euthenized'' is also a crock. these pets are feeling alot of pain either by the injection type or the gas chamber.some
pets are hit in the head with a shove by a shelter worker before they are
gassed, since the breathing is shallow the gas doesn't kill the animal and
there for he is either hit in the head or chocked to death by the shelter
worker with his foot. this is abuse and it needs to stop NOW!

Please Opt To Adopt from either your local shelter or from us. and always make sure you pet has a tag or micro chip so he can return to you instead of being in the hands of the shelter.I don't know how these shelter workers do what they do, there is no way k9 Editions kill pets or animals we find them homes and relocate to no kill rescues that find them homes.this does not have to be these pets fate. we need to network when someone needs a pet go to the local shelter or get on the internet and find the dog or cat that you have been dreaming about across the united states. we are not over populated we are just unorganized is all.these animals have homes.pick up the book Redemition that will tell you what you need to know about whats happening to our pets in shelters and its everything the PETS &H.S.U.S dont want you to know. read ot it will be the best book you ever read.this book
                                can save these animals lives.

The overpopulation of homeless cats and dogs, puppies and kittens in most cities, along with a cesspool of mismanagement and incompetence within the departments of Animal Services has brought on a crisis of conscience. The public is more aware than ever of the horror inside the City's Shelter system. The desire to go to No Kill verbalized has been proven to be a scam since they are refusing to take the first crucial step towards No Kill by replacing the kill shelter employees and replace them with a no kill director.
Overpopulation is not a one-time event; there is a constant influx of homeless, lost and owner-surrendered companion animals into the City's shelter system. Any long-term solution requires that the supply dry up, while adopting must increase. It also requires a sweeping reorganization of the animal shelters throughout the nation with new leadership. We must face this crisis by implementing sound, creative and proven methods to stop the killing and change the paradigm from “pets” as disposable accessories, to companion animals who have feelings, needs and unique personalities; individuals whose lives are important to them and to us. Animal Services department is truly an embarrassment to the United States as innocent cats, dogs, puppies, kittens, bunny rabbits as well as wildlife like Pelicans and songbirds are being murdered by the tens of thousands every single year.

We all need to take the responsibility for these animals. there are a lot of people that doesn’t want to hear that the United States shelters are being this inhumane to our animals.

Out of site out of mind.
The people need to be aware and voice your opinion and concern for the animals we all know and love.No matter how sad the thought this is reality to these animals. The animals in our shelters are no different than animals you have in your home,

picture one of your animals that you love dearly with every inch of your heart , he gets lost and ending up in kill shelter, which most shelters are kill by the way if they say diffrent they most likely are lying, all they have to do is say the animal is sick or for some reason not adoptiable, gives the shelters the right to kill while you are looking for your dog on the streets and asking every neighbor you if they seen your dog, he is the back room or the basment of the shelter being restrained with a human body lying on top of him when a needle goes in his vein and falls to the floor. when you get to the shelter they say yes we just had a dog that fits your description, we just put him to sleep he was a stray, your heart drops to the floor and start wiping the tears streaming down your face, after a few choice words to the director you ask for the dogs body, then they tell you that they don’t have it any more. you ask why? where is he?they say it went to the dump with hundreds of others they destroyed that day. when yoy get to the dump you see thousands among thousands of dead dogs of all kinds and the stench of death, you finially see the yip of your babies tail sticking out from the bottom of the pile. this is something you will never forget the rest of your life. I sure didn't get over it. its been 10 years and I am still fighting for the animals.

WOW! That is the most horrible thing that could ever happens, but it does every day in our shelters, it has happened to me and a ton of other people. We need to protect our pets in our lives and the homeless/lost/ very adoptable animals. help us stand up and say stop the killing.send letters out with your concerns to the legslatiors in your state.

So that’s how we look at it ,they are all our animals and we have the right to speak for them, dont put this very important cause out of your mind, THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING. This should not be .

Those of you that were keeping up on the rescues that H.S.U.S done in the Katrina disaster those animals were adopted to other people not surrendered back to their owners, this is an outrage!

they took in like 32 million dollars and made more money of the ''sale'' of these victims Dogs & Cats, these people were hurting enough now their beloved pet is gone they dont know if there alive or dead these people have nothing at all left as this point. H.S.U.S refuses & denied the owners of these dogs and cats to get them back.

The victims of the flooding have no recourse since H.S.U.S has the 32 million dollars of donations to fight the owners with that you sent to them to help the animals, they hired just another attorney to add to their payroll so the power that the people gave them through donations to help the animals they used it against us. Intentially hurting both animals and human.

DO NOT DONATE MONEY TO H.S.U.S & PETA!
check out the site www.petakills.com see what is happening and put the link together from the these animal activist/extreamist groups and your local kill shelter,do your home work.these groups have a hidden agenda, which is a motive attached to the kill shelters.  check it out.. they want to elimate all animals including the ones for food and pets under the ''guise of animal welfare'', its there cash cow...that perpuates there conflict industry.

people actually think these Radical groups are part of our goverment. since there name is United States Humane Society this is what they hope you think but THERE NOT THEY ARE SCAMMERS! They have been misleading the public to collect there money in the name of animal welfare for years.its time we put a stop to there minipulating ways of taking your money and not caring for not 1 animal, if they would have used just a fraction of the many billion dollars they collected went to the animals there would be no problem the wont be getting killed in shelters. They use the money they get as donations against we people who love and care for animals, we dont kill them and throw there bodies in dumpster ot landfill as they have done for years now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

we always had a love for animals and cared about what happens to them.so we figure why not take it a step further and instead of saving one at a time we can save as many as we can by using the internet as a tool for the animals and people alike, people need animals as much as animals need people, therefor I dont understand why is there KILL Shelters when the demand for dogs and puppies are so rampid. K9 Editions did our homework and found out that there is no reason why the animals are getting killed in the United States Shelters by mass distruction & suffering until death when thrown into dumpsters. below we have a author of a book that is a must read it has some alarming facts to what is happening in our shelters on a daily basis this has to stop. we also have put some links on our site that makes you want to scream but the animals have died in vein the least we can do is stop it from continuing and save as many animals we can with legislation to stop the Kill shelters.

It gets pretty bad for the animals when the animal activist peta starts killing them and throwing there bodies in dumpsters. so now what are they to do? K9 Editions to the rescue...

H.S.U.S amoung others have been misleading people for years, they dont do anything for the animals.but take your money and pass laws that is hurtful to us and our pets.they support the killings in our shelters amoung other hidden agendas we have posted some links to show what that hidden agenda's are.

The Consumer Freedom interview with Redemption author Nathan Winograd

Nathan Winograd is a Stanford Law School graduate and a former criminal
prosecutor. He has also presided over America’s two most successful experiments in what’s become known as the “No-Kill” animal shelter movement. At SPCAs in San Francisco and Tompkins County, New York, Winograd showed that No-Kill animal sheltering -- the brand of hands-on animal care that deep-pocketed animal “rights” groups like PETA and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) ironically oppose -- can work.

In his book Redemption, Winograd argues that the idea of pet overpopulation in America is a myth. PETA cites this “overpopulation” as the reason it kills nearly 90 percent of the dogs and cats it takes in. And the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) literally wrote the book on a system of animal sheltering that seems resigned to killing healthy pets out of sheer laziness, instead of looking for alternatives
.

After we read Redemption, we had some tough questions for Winograd. And he graciously agreed to answer them.

CCF: Right on the cover of your book, you call the idea of pet overpopulation in the United States a "myth." Are you saying that there are enough homes for every healthy, unwanted pet?

Winograd: Yes. Based on the number of existing households with pets who have a pet die or run away, more homes potentially become available each year for cats than the number of cats who enter shelters, while more than twice as many homes potentially become available each year for dogs than the number of dogs who enter shelters.

Put another way, every year more families are potentially looking to bring a
new dog or cat into their home than the animals that enter shelters. And the market of homes (the number of homes which do not currently have a dog or cat but will acquire one) is expanding rapidly. If shelters increased their market share by just a few percentage points, we could be a No Kill nation right now. But we are far from it.

As a movement, the humane community has accepted the idea that the best shelters can do for homeless animals is to adopt out some and kill the rest. To try to avoid criticism for this, to justify a paltry number of
adoptions, these groups have perpetuated the myth that there are simply more animals than homes, something that is patently false (even though most people believe it).

Redemption offers a stunning indictment of the Humane
Society of the United States (HSUS). Why does such a wealthy animal rights organization appear so disinterested in saving the lives of cats and dogs?

HSUS is the wealthiest humane organization in the United States. Since its founding in the mid-1950s, it has grown in scope, size, and influence. It claims the support of some 10 million members, while its conference which caters to shelters is currently the largest nationwide. Given that, one would predict, expect and hope that it would be at the forefront of the No Kill movement, leading the way to ending the systematic killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters. But instead
HSUS has been one of No Kill’s fiercest and most obstinate opponents.

One of the fundamental downsides of bureaucracies is their focus on self-preservation at the expense of their mission. Agencies like the Humane Society of the United States have ignored No Kill success and put the interest
of animals -- indeed their very lives -- aside.

What would
HSUS stand to lose if American animal shelters all moved toward a “No Kill” philosophy tomorrow?

Other than a few employees with a deplorable history of supporting the unnecessary killing of dogs and cats in shelters, and perhaps some longstanding relationships with shelter directors mired in killing, absolutely nothing. In fact, they would be hailed as pillars of compassion by the American public. That is what makes their position on this issue (historical and presently) so disturbing.

If you had
HSUS's resources ($200 million in the bank and $150 million of income this year), how much progress could you make toward reforming our nation's animal shelters? What would you do first?

More money isn’t necessary to end the killing of savable dogs and cats in shelters. In fact, most of the programs and services necessary to save lives would actually cost these shelters less than what they are currently spending to warehouse animals and then kill them.

For example, adoptions generate revenue, they generate good will (which could be leveraged for future donations), and they lead to greater word-of-mouth publicity which leads to more adoptions and more revenue. Killing animals, by contrast, not only costs money (to end an animal’s life and dispose of the body), but it also makes the public less satisfied with the job a shelter is doing, especially as the shelter blames that same public for the problem. These are the people a shelter needs to embrace (in the form of adopters, volunteers, and donors) if it’s going to save animals’ lives.

Volunteers and foster homes also provide subsidized services, in which private individuals and rescue groups care for shelter animals at no cost to taxpayers. It is a cost-free way to save a great number of dogs and cats. But too many shelters turn these people away at the front door -- while the animals they are trying to help go out the back door in a body bag.

In short, animals are not dying because of lack of money in the vast majority of U.S. cities.

Take the municipal animal shelter in Austin, Texas for example. In 2000, its budget was $2.9 million. Now it’s $4.8 million. But the number of dogs and cats killed in Austin increased during this time. PETA spends around $30 million every year, but claims it can’t save 2,000 dogs and cats. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Americans donated over $32 million to the Humane Society of the United States, specifically to help the dogs and cats trapped in New Orleans. They spent only a fraction of that money on the problem. What did they do with the rest?

You have a pretty blunt assessment of PETA's long-standing habit of killing animals instead of working to place them in adoptive homes. Why should the public believe PETA's line about saving pigs and chickens if it's not willing to start with dogs and cats?

This, to me, is the great betrayal in PETA’s position. If groups like PETA openly champion the killing of dogs and cats in shelters, if they do not take the position that killing dogs and cats is inherently unethical and should be condemned, how do they expect to convince the public that pigs, chickens, and other animals -- with whom Americans do not have a close relationship
-- should have more protections?

If the animal rights community, which claims to be the standard bearer for what our relationship with animals should be, approves of the idea of killing millions of animals in shelters, doesn’t that undermine their ultimate goals? The old adage “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” could not be more true.

What's beneath the surface of PETA's apparent hypocrisy here? Why do you think the group doesn't endorse a “No Kill” philosophy, or at least stop tasking its employees with killing pets?

I can only think of one possibility. PETA’s founder, Ingrid Newkirk, previously worked at the Washington Humane Society in Washington, DC, a shelter that has historically been the subject of public criticism for high rates of shelter killing. In fact, at a time when Stanford University was having great success with its program to save homeless cats on its campus, the Washington Humane Society opposed my effort to create a similar program on the Georgetown University campus. In the end, Georgetown sided with the Washington Humane Society, which embraced a campaign of extermination.

Few animal activists who follow PETA’s lead on the companion animal issue are probably aware that its founder’s former job was to kill homeless dogs and cats in a shelter that had a poor record for saving lives.

Isn't it a bit hypocritical for groups like PETA and HSUS to be front-and-center in the Michael Vick story? Nobody with half a brain supports dog fighting, but isn't killing dogs out of sheer convenience just as nasty?

The thought of what those poor dogs went through is personally very painful to me. If the public pressure created by these groups led to Vick’s suspension from the NFL, a positive thing has been accomplished
. If it leads to greater penalties for people who do this, again that is positive. And as a former Deputy District Attorney who prosecuted animal cruelty cases, I believe that if Michael Vick is found guilty, he should be punished severely.

But while PETA applauds the prosecution of Michael Vick, it fought similar efforts by a prosecutor in North Carolina who went after PETA employees for needlessly killing animals and dumping their bodies in supermarket trash bins.

And while PETA condemns Michael Vick for killing Pit Bull-type dogs, PETA itself is on record saying that each and every Pit Bull entering a U.S. animal shelter should be killed as a matter of policy -- including healthy and friendly dogs. By its actions, words, and deeds, PETA is condemning hundreds of thousands of dogs annually to death.

HSUS is no better. HSUS once called the mass extermination of alley cats the only “practical and humane” solution. Why is the needless killing of millions of cats “humane,” especially in the face of non-lethal lifesaving alternatives?

In your book, you mention briefly the connection between shelter adoption rates and retail pet sales. Can you flesh this out a bit? Does this indicate that there are plenty of homes for adoptable animals?

When San Francisco became the first city in the U.S. to save all healthy, homeless dogs and cats, and was effectively talking to the public about pet adoption, there was not a single pet store left in the city selling dogs
and cats. It didn’t start out that way, but that was the result. Why? Because they couldn’t compete with the SPCA.

Americans want to do the right thing, and they saw shelter adoption as a way to save lives and bring the joys of animal companionship into their homes. By contrast, when you look at cities with high levels of shelter killing, you also
tend to see large numbers of pet stores.

This tells me that the animals in these communities aren’t dying because “there are too many dogs and cats, and not enough homes” -- as the shelter directors want you to believe. If that were the case, you wouldn’t see so many pet retailers. They exist because there’s a market demand for dogs and cats. And because the shelters are doing a lousy job at adopting to the community.

You make a pretty convincing case that whatever pet "overpopulation" exists in the U.S. is the fault of poorly run shelters, not the public that typically gets blamed for creating the problem. But surely there's something the public can do to help reverse the current situation. What's your bottom-line advice for John Q. Consumer?

We need to reclaim these institutions. The agencies that the public expects to protect homeless pets are instead killing more than five million of them every year. Lifesaving alternatives have existed for decades. But too many of these agencies remain mired in the “kill” philosophy of the past, unwilling to explore and adopt methods that save lives. This is a breach of their public trust.

We need to reform animal shelters through lobbying, by making demands at the local government level, and by withholding contributions until they change. We need to hit them right back for advocating killing by using a tactic they understand: the boycott.

Do not donate to HSUS or any other shelter or agency which refuses to embrace a No Kill philosophy. Let them know that when they decide to do right by the animals, you will be ready to open your checkbook.

In the end, there may be an overpopulation problem in the United States, but it is not the one we traditionally define. What we are actually suffering from -- what is actually killing a high number of animals -- is an overpopulation of lazy and complacent shelter directors. A culture of lifesaving is not possible without wholesale
regime change in shelters, and in national animal protection groups. So the most important single act -- and the crucial first step -- is to fire the current leadership of shelters across the country. That is what the public should demand.

Redemption: The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No Kill Revolution in America is available online from Amazon.com and other retailers. Every copy sold is guaranteed to raise the blood pressure of the wrong-headed activists who run PETA and HSUS

K9 editions Rescue gets alot of puppies and dogs into the rescue which we relocate each and everyone of them . they go to diffrent states and other rescues as well we adopt them out, also we get the word out about the horriable kill shelters and make sure the public knows what is happening to our pets in the shelters, so its a win win for the animals but not all the animals this keeps us really busy  is great for them the ones we get to before they go to the shelters. we are really making a diffrence in so many lives dogs and people for years now we hope that we can keep helping. its a very expensive way to run a rescue but that is the only way to relocate, as we are finding more and more rescues in need of puppies and dogs out of state which also finds them wonderful homes our van is getting old and has 200.000 miles on it we hope with the faith of god that it keeps us going until we can afford another. we believe that god will provide us with what we need to continue helping the animals in Alabama.

we just cant sit and watch the mass killings take place. we try to deliver the larger dogs since the shipping on a large dog is incrediably high right now due to the gas hike ,airlines have increased there fees. we also take alot of the medium and large breeds to out of state no kill rescues and they are found homes through them. we take as many as we possiably can fit with each delivery.

we love to find homes for all of them but smaller breeds and puppies that don't require the expense of shipping fees as the larger ones do. but who ever we have left will go to a northern NO KILL rescues. the adoption fees they get will help there rescue so they are able to accomidate us with helping us with ours.people helping people help homeless pets it warms the heart and soul.

we have a few foster parents in the northern states, when we deliver we also take to the foster parents some puppies and dogs, so we are really moving these babies and finding the best homes possiable for them as fast and best as we can.

we are not a fussy or a snobby Rescue we do scan the applications and are very understandable and know that these dogs need a home, we dont pick on the little things as most rescues and shelters usally do. we look at the animals need for a good home before we would care about your bank account or what size underwear you have, when an animal needs a home one can't be picking on the little things when someone has a great home to offer a pet we trust that you have the potential to care properly for the pet.
so feel free to look and contact us with any questions you might have.

Here in the State of Alabama there are no laws to protect the animals as well as the rest of the states in the U.S there is alot of animals being distroyed in the state of Alabama
the kill shelters kill them as soon as they go into the shelter most don't even get a meal or offered for adoption before thery get injected with poison, we do all we possiably can and get a hold of as many as we can and get and them out of this state to good homes. we get a lot of lab mixes, great pyrenees purebreds and mixes, also alot of golden retriever mixes and the good ole american mutt which have proven to be the longest life span and healthest dogs.
we take in animals from people who are less fortunate and could not afford to get there female spayed and had a litter of unwanted puppies, so when they give us the puppies we send them to a vet and have there dog spayed so they will not have another litter, we take the puppies and we give them shots and de-worm them , dip / bathe and feed them good premium puppy food we keep them for a week or so before putting them up for adoption.

we will deliver for extra fee of 150.00 to cover gas and travel expense, we drive a straite 14 hours each way, since the price of gas had went up we need to charge for delivery I hope you understand. by adopting a puppy or dog from us the pet will have a health exam by our vet and issued a health certificate and will be driven by us to you. you will be saving a life at this point.

the state of alabama has always had a kill shelter that resulted people to drop off there unwanted pets along the road ways, now that they have created a huge mess they are killing these very much wanted animals by mass distruction

although it a very expensive way of running a rescue in the means of relocation program, our fees maybe a little higher then your local kill shelter but with each and every adoption fee we take no short cuts at feeding ,shots and wormings as well as right down to the shampoos we use. we also put frontline the dogs we get in. shots and de-wormings love and attention.

they do eat the very best of foods .we can feed up to 200 lbs a week. so these guys are healthy and strong as they should be with a beautiful shinny coat.

we have a vet tech that helps us with the dogs and puppies we pay for the help that we get. I feel that by paying help there will be no short cuts taken.

we give our own shots and the shot records will be with each and every puppy so that your vet can continue with  the shot and worming program in which we started the puppy on. If we get in a mom and puppies we will start the deworming process at the age of 3 weeks old and every two weeks, after that and there first set of shots, although they are mixes we treat them like we do our Royal Cavalier King Charles. there is no diffrence bewteen the care that they recieve. all get the same A+ treatment and care.

we have 30 years experence of breeding and raising dogs and now rescue this is what makes us a whole person to teach people about the care and training of there pets as well as finding homes and giving speaches about the importance of spay and neutering there pets.

no animal should ever be spayed or neutered until at least 6 months of age.its not safe or healthy for the pet any sooner.

we love to care for animals and when they need help we help them on there way to a find wonderful home .this website is packed with valuable info which may safe your pets life, also to make your life eaiser through the training of your pet.

We thought that this would be sweet to put on the website to show everyone the pictures of all the animals we helped over the years,

they all have the most wonderful homes with the most amazing families who love them. although we never located and posted them all but we will . check back with us at a later date and see everyone we saved.

we run a strict relocation program, which is designed to cut down the popluation of unwanted pets in Alabama to get these unwated babies a home out of the state.the state of Alabama has way to many puppies and dogs in need of homes. they are getting put down daily, while these pets are 100% adoptable and wanted.

we have devoted our lives to help these animals.so please take a look and see if you would like to give a homeless puppy or dog a great home.

Alambama and the rest of the United States needs to stop killing Our animals. if they would spay and neuter the dogs they have they would have more time and abilty to find them homes instead of killing them.

we ship via airlines, we also deliver when we are not that busy. we will go up and down the east coast to get these animals a chance at a great home.

the delivery fee is 150.00

the shipping fee is 260.00.

right now we have to ship since we just took in a litter of puppies that need to be bottle fed every two hours.

these animals need everyones help to get them homes.

we also have two litters of puppies which we have to care for so we will not be delivering again until July 5th,2008 on the east coast.

please check out the available adoptions page and see if you would like to adopt a puppy or dog.these guys are all such great dogs and puppies.they all would make such an easy transition to anyones home.

each puppy and dog comes with a vet health check ,health certificate, puppy starter kit, shot records, 1set of shots and dewormings up to date, and a toy. and a shipping crate[for air travels only] that is yours to keep and use for your new found friend.

our adoption fees vary depending the puppy or dog. we understand that money it tight in some households right now so we are negiotiable on the adoption fees. so if you see someone you would like to share your life with please call us and we will work along with you on the fees as far as we can.

we are here for  the animals and not to get rich. this is a program that there is not much money to be proffited from the rescues since they cost us more then our own puppies do.but the adoption fee goes back into the rescue so we can continue doing what we are for the animals here in Alabama.

some of the puppies and dogs that we take in on rescues usally need more treatments and love and attention to make the right fit to your homes. we paper train, do some training as far as mannors

We require that the puppy or animal that you adopt must have them spayed or neutered when he reaches 6 months, we dont expect nor require any younger. for the health of the animal.

Any pet that is 12-16 weeks requires a Rabie shot.if the animal is at least that age when we ship, he /she will usally have the Rabie shot, we will also include the the rabies certificate and the tag showing that the shot was given by a lienced vet.

we will share any and all information on each dog that we are aware of , we are not responable for not knowing the excact breed or breeds of any puppy or dog.

we give education to local people about the importance of spay and nueter and basic care and training, we also offer the same info to you the adopter. If you adopt an animal from us you will be able to call and get advise anytime you will need it. we will always be here for our adoptive parents.there are no dumb question so feel free to ask what ever you like.

every animal in the United States is wanted, there should be absolutly no kill shelters, any where in the united states, the shelters would just have to work a little harder to place these beautiful ,wonderful, healthy adoptable animals in homes,

here at k9 Editions is not afraid of that work. we say every life counts. and it does.
